Due to the State of Emergency declared by the Victorian Government to combat COVID-19 (Coronovirus), & taking heed of advice from various environmental organisation such as Birdlife Australia & Landcare Victoria; MEG are suspending all organised activities such as working bees, bird walks & meetings until the health emergency is resolved. Unfortunately not an April Fool joke! Contact will be maintained by social media & email.
Perhaps social distancing could be renamed physical distancing as social (if not physical) contact will become more important in these dark days!
MEG have a number of publicity brochures available which can be downloaded or printed here. We have recently added the Bird Watching in Melton 2020 brochure.
MEG Bird Walks in 2020 are held on the 3rd Saturday of the month to avoid conflicting with other local walks. Bird walk sites will be allocated to hopefully coincide with best wildflower displays.
Melton Environment Group welcomes everyone who shares our love of the outdoors and our commitment to preserving Meltons’s unique environment.
To educate and foster public awareness on environmental issues, enhance and protect natural resources for the environmental, social and economical benefits of the community and future generations.
