National Bird Week

National Bird Week 2017 will take place from Wednesday 25 October to Friday 3rd November.

MEG will be hosting Bird Week in Melton in in 2017 in partnership with City of Melton, from Wednesday 25 October to Friday 3rd November.  Our theme this year will be on migratory birds.

There will be a photographic display of local birdlife by photographer Nora Peters in Melton Library. The focus of Bird Week in 2017 will be with a presentation on Lathams Snipe, an Owl Walk at Hannah Watts Park. We hope to have a presentation on the birds of South Sudan!

Further details. There will be a display featuring Bird Week & the history of bird watching in Melton in the library for the month of October. 

There will also be a spotlight walk along Toolern Creek where we hope to see owls or possums.
